Partner wagons shouldn't come as a surprise
International wagon runs are usually operated by several providers. Without a shared booking layer, wagons arrive unplanned at following carriers, becoming visible only with the Hermes message for the border-crossing train. Too late to optimise yard operations and allocate onward capacities efficiently.
With Xrail Capacity Booking, RUs can seamlessly book their international wagon runs to and from partner carriers and follow up transport execution end-to-end. Digitally link your RU systems with other providers via Xrail's central booking broker – and boost your transparency and efficiency.

Seamless bookings. Secured capacities. Fewer surprises
Leverage early inbound volume forecasts for improved, pro-active yard, resource and planning optimisation. Don't let unplanned, last-minute partner inflows interfere with your capacity-checked, optimised network.
Benefit from automated, seamless wagon-level ETI / ETA and Track & Trace information in your systems for international multi-carrier transports, making both your operations' steering and customers' life easier.
Cover incoming regulatory TSI Telematics requirements at no extra effort with connected partner carriers. Access sophisticated (partner) performance monitoring and analysis options via Xrail's Business Intelligence platform.
Direct system-to-system booking
Bookings flow directly, fricitonless between the capacity systems of involved RUs through the Xrail broker – making any manual information exchange or bilateral integration obsolete.
Seamless trip plans & capacity
Benefit from international trip plans from start to end, up to the customer siding. Transport capacities are secured in due time over multiple RU networks through one integrated booking.
Early transparency on volume inflow
The moment a wagon is booked, it's visible for the receiving RU with an ETI and destination. Plan capacities, and onward dispatch days in advance, not hours, boosting network optimisation
Automated updates and rebookings
The specific ETI / ETA issued at the wagon-booking is automatically updated and the related trip plan rebooked should major delays occur due to partner network status, wagon damage, etc.
From booking request to execution in 6 steps
The booking party requests an international Wagonload transport via defined partner RUs.
The broker automatically initiates a capacity check across all involved, XCB-connected partners for the complete stretch.
Bookable, international transport chains are generated by combining the capacity-checked trip plans of all involved partners in a multi-loop process.
The best-matching plan is either automatically selected by the initiating booking system or confirmed manually by the booking party.
A booking confirmation including a reliable, planned ETI(s) and ETA is distributed to all involved parties.
Deviations during execution may trigger a re-booking or an updated ETI or ETA, broadcasted back through the broker.
