The people behind Xrail
The Xrail team has been at the heart of European rail freight digitalisation since 2010. We combine deep sector expertise with agile, in-house development – working alongside the Xrail community to build the tools the industry actually needs. Small, experienced and focused: we move fast and stay close to the realities of international freight operations.

Our crew – including external staff – runs the show as a virtual team, spread across Europe. The strategic coordination is managed from our headquarter in Basel, Switzerland, while our Swedish branch, based in Stockholm, ensures stable, cost-efficient IT operations.
Xrail collaborates with key rail stakeholders to advance interoperability, digitalisation and finally modal shift in Europe – including other platforms like RailData and RailNetEurope (RNE) as well as public stakeholders like the EU Agency for Railways (ERA), DG Move and the broader sector standardisation community.
